David Alvin Guske, age 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 10, 2021.  Born in Crown Point, Indiana, David graduated from Crown Point High School in 1959 and received his BS from Manchester College in 1963 and his Masters from Ball State University.

David lived an amazing life and was a loving husband and thoughtful father.  He retired from 36 years as a teacher in the Indiana School System.  As well, he exercised his many talents as a trim carpenter, furniture builder, artist and designer.  He was always up for an adventure and enjoyed experiences as a world-traveler, fisherman and most importantly a devoted servant of God, having served as elder and congregation president at various churches in Indiana, Florida, and North Carolina.  He lived a blessed and full life and accomplished everything he could dream up.

Preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Bessie Guske and his sister, Lois Guske. He is survived by his college sweetheart and beloved wife of 57 years, N Jeanne Guske; daughter, Nicole Spear (Tim Spear); son, Joel Guske (Jill Guske); four grandchildren – Colin Spear (Jessica Spear), Lauren Spear, Kyle Spear and Jensen Guske; and one great-grandson – Parker Spear.
His humor and inquisitive spirit will be missed by all those that knew him.
A private service will be held with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Michael J. Fox foundation for Parkinson’s research.
