David Allen Brazelton, 75, of Owens Cross Roads, passed away on September 2, 2017 at Huntsville Hospital, after a one week illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Marjorie Brazelton, and two brothers, Jerry and Wayland Langston. He is survived by his brother Kenny Brazelton (Leslie); a special friend, Patsy Brazelton; and a pet, Ruby, whom he loved very much.
Dave attended Butler High School, and at a very young age, went to work for Star Market. While working there, he joined the National Guard, and later pursued his 40-year career as a Meat-Cutter at Kroger. Dave lived in the Big Cove Community for 42 years, and after retirement he was very content keeping an immaculate yard and watching Auburn Football during the season. He recently restored a 1966 Chevy to its original and upgraded condition. He will be missed by all who knew him, and knew his kindness and gentle way!!
Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral will follow in the chapel with Harold Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
