Mr. Dave Franklin Whisante, Sr., age 69, of Morgan City, Alabama passed away peacefully at his home on August 15, 2023. Mr. Whisante was born on November 5, 1953, son of Cleo J. Whisante and Mary Lucille Murphy Whisante in Madison County, AL. He and Tracy Lynn Damron married in 1996 and have enjoyed 26 years together. Dave was employed by the State of Alabama Department of Transportation. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of New Canaan Baptist Church in the Union Hill Community of Morgan County. Dave was a US Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era. Dave spent his leisure time either polishing his jewelry or detailing vehicles. He was a big supporter of Alabama Crimson Tide football.
He is survived by his loving wife Tracy Whisante; son, Dave Franklin Whisante, Jr. (Sydney Nicole); daughter, Kimberly Dawn Daugette (Gage); step-daughters, Angel Greenwell and Heather White (Corey); brothers, James A. Whisante (Emily). Roger L. Whisante, and Johnny R. Whisante (Teri); sister, Mary E. Brimeyer (Tim); grandchildren, Kash Samuel Whisante, Karmyn Lee Whisante, Harmony Jo Daugette, Mila Mae Daugette, Blain White, Raegan White, Daxton White and Kaden Lightsey; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Preceding Dave in death are his parents, Cleo and Mary Whisante.
Services for Mr. Whisante will be held at Brindlee Mountain Memorial Chapel, Morgan City, AL on Saturday, August 26, 2023 Visitation will be between the hours of 12:00 noon and 2:00 p.m. The memorial service will immediately follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. The family has elected to follow Dave’s request for cremation.
