Mr. Darrell Wayne McNelley, age 62, of Scottsboro, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019. Mr. McNelley was an active member of Bikers for Christ and New Hope Methodist Church. He was also a Vietnam Veteran.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Donna King officiating. Interment will follow at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. McNelley is survived by his children, Wendy (John) Baker of Colorado, Sasha Whitehead of Owens Cross Roads, AL, and Holly Staton of Section, AL; grandchildren, Arielle Morris of Colorado, Maraina Morris of Colorado, Kyle Clark of Owens Cross Roads, AL, Kelsie Whitehead of Owens Cross Roads, AL, Cecilia Johnson, Kamryn Staton, Ramie Staton, Turner Staton, and Taylor Staton all of Scottsboro, AL; brother, John R. (Rona) McNelley of Cullman, AL; sisters, Anita (Russell) Atchley of Clarksville, TN, Deva (Garland) Day of Henagar, AL, and Linda Lloyd of Scottsboro, AL; daughter in law, Cathy McNelley of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Camilla McNelley; son, Joe McNelley; and parents, John and Jessie McNelley.
