Darrell Lackey – Obituary

Darrell Lackey, age 70, of Bagley, Alabama passed away peacefully at home January 8, 2019. He was raised in Tarrant City then later moved to his permanent residence in Bagley, Alabama. Darrell served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed drag racing and listening to all types of music. He loved his family and grandchildren very much. Darrell is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Helen Lackey. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Gale Lackey; son Quenton (Abbey) Lackey; grandson, Elijah Lackey; granddaughter, Sydney Lackey; sister, June Putman; nephews, Scott Putman and Adam Hadder; niece Amanda Adcock and a host of other family and friends. Services will be held at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home, Dora, Alabama on Thursday, January 10th. Funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm with visitation held one hour prior to service time.
