Darline Tippett (Our Nanny) left this world Dec. 6, at the age of 74 to begin her new life with Jesus.
She loved her family with all her heart and made us the priority of her life. She was a hard-working woman who was proud to have become the first female certified plumber in Alabama and the first certified pipe fitter in the U.S.
She was a loving mother of three daughters, Michelle Hairrell Lanham (who cared for our Nanny during her last days), Myra Grigsby Pulley (estranged) and Mona Lisa Hendon (who preceded her in death).
She had seven grandchildren, Tony, Scotty, Randy, Dawn, Adam, Christy and Jerome. She had 18 great-grandchildren.
Her love, care and guiding words of wisdom will be greatly missed. We all love and miss her dearly.
At her request, a private memorial service will be held at her home on a later date.
Special thanks to her son in law, James L. Lanham.
Condolences may be sent to 402 N. Franklin St., Florence, AL 35630.
Arrangements by Greenview Funeral Home.
