Danny Wilson Moon, age 72, of Albertville, passed away on October 22, 2025, at his residence. He was born on January 30, 1953, to the late J.W. and Syble Moon.
Danny worked for Goodyear for 36 years and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. He was a proud Alabama football fan and loved all sports in general. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose love and laughter will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his sons, Jason Moon and Josh Moon (Tonya); loving wife, Shelia Moon; brother, J.W. Moon, Jr.; sister, Gail Simmons (Wendell); and grandchildren, Cole Moon, Hallie Nixon (Evan), Jax Moon, Ava Moon, Caleb Moon, Rylee Blalock, Carson Gable, Brady Gable, Baylor Sims, Cloey Sims, and Charleigh Sims; daughter, Sheena Sims (Jared); son, Robby Dempsey; daughter-in-law, Nichole Moon; sisters-in-law, Diane Moon, Jan Moon, and Cynthia Moon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his late wife, Donna Moon; and brothers, Marlon Moon, Barney Moon, and Phillip Moon.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Partain, Bro. Jared Sims, Bro. Tracy Cheek, Bro. Brad Thomas, and Bro. Phillip Dendy officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Carson Gable, Brady Gable, Tim Simmons, Marty Moon, Cole Moon, and Evan Nixon. Honorary pallbearers include Jax Moon, Baylor Sims, Walter Baker, Justin Moon, and Jimmy Gary.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
