Danny Wayne Clark, age 63 of Decherd, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Winchester on August 21, 1960. Upon completion of his degree at the Institute of Electronic Technology in Paducah, Kentucky, he moved to Rochester, New York to begin his career and start a family. He returned to his beloved Franklin County in 2006. Before his retirement, Danny was employed as a project manager for Global Crossing in telecommunications, where he was instrumental in the transitioning from analog and switchboard operations to digital calling across the world. A “High-Tech Redneck,” he could do anything he put his mind to from electronics, building, and mechanics. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding horses and motorcycles, as well as working on his small farm and doing carpentry projects. His acts of kindness and ability to entertain with his countless stories and antics, as well as his charismatic personality will be remembered by his family and friends. Danny was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Roland A. Clark. Danny is survived by his mother, Dimple Clark; daughter, Shelby Clark (fiancé, Austin Cupp); siblings, Bobby (Jan) Clark, Eddie (Pat) Clark, Thomas (Deena) Clark, Rebecca Clark Kirby, and Kenneth Clark; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
