Danny Umphrey departed this life on Sunday, May 8, 2016, at the age of 69 years, 2 months, 22 days. He was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on February 16, 1947 the son of the late Coley Nathaniel and Burma Ables Umphrey.
Danny had worked for Williams Cabinet Shop. He had also worked for Avondale Shipyards in Louisiana as a crane operator. He loved fishing, camping, dancing, and watching movies. He was of Baptist belief.
He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Umphrey of Savannah, Tennessee; stepsons, Joey Fasking of Savannah, Tennessee and Donnie Fasking of Michie, Tennessee; sisters, Cathy Bridges and husband, Randy of Savannah, Tennessee, Maebell McDonald and husband, Hollis of Milledgeville, Tennessee, Ruby McDonald of Savannah, Tennessee, and Barbara Southern and husband, Millard of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Junior Umphrey and brother-in-law, Laverne McDonald.
