Danny Thomas Cottrell, 81, of Anderson, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 2, 2024, at the Cottrell family home. Danny was a farmer for many years, worked in landscaping and worked on the grounds crew at Turtle Point before retiring.
A visitation for Danny will be held at Northside Church of Christ in Lexington on December 5th from 10-10:30 a.m. with a funeral service following. Brother Justin Roberson will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Thomas Cottrell, Dale Cottrell, Tony Cottrell, Jeff Cottrell, Bruce Springer, Cody Springer, Jesse Springer and Joe Springer. The burial will be in Barnett Cemetery.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents, R.T. and Lucy Irene Cottrell; brothers, Charlie and Larry Cottrell; sister, Shirley Cottrell. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Martha Cottrell; daughter, Michelle (Wayne) Hopper; sons, Steven Cottrell and Danny (Lynlie) Cottrell II; grandchildren, Lexie and Zach Hopper and Nellie Cottrell.
