Danny Ray Riddle

The hard-working, fun loving, Danny Ray Riddle, 69, passed away July 26, 2025, after a long courageous battle with cancer.  Danny was born March 2, 1956 to Curtis and Inez Riddle.  He graduated from Tishomingo High School in 1974.  He attended Mackey’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

Danny retired from Local Labor Union 68 after 40 years.  He was a construction superintendent for Walsh Construction for the past 19 years.  He loved bird hunting, NASCAR, country music, Nashville and spending time with his family and friends.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 29, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Dwight South and Bro. Rickey Taylor officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday, July 29, 12-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Mackey’s Creek Cemetery.  Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife of 49 years, Judy Ables Riddle; special niece, Kylee; sister, Judith Drew; brother, Mackie Riddle and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Audie and Audrey Ables and several brothers and sisters-in-law.

Pallbearers will be Joe Shepard, Michael Crabb, Richard Clingan, Kris Riddle, Jeremy Riddle and Michael Riddle.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Gallahar and Jerry Jenkins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Mackey’s Creek Church Cemetery Fund, 36 CR 3521, Tishomingo, MS 38873.
