Danny Ray Moss, 58 of Athens, passed away on Friday, October 30th, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Moss was born on November 6th, 1962 to James Moss and Helen Mae Puryear Moss.
Funeral services for Mr. Moss will be on Tuesday, November 3rd, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Terry Lamar officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 12:00-1:50pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Moss is survived by his children, Brittany Moss Dunham (Mark) of Huntsville, Brooke Moss of Huntsville, and Preston Moss (Jennifer) of Rogersville; grandchildren Walker Dunham, Brantley Dunham, and Isabelle Dunham; brothers Earnest Moss, Jerry Moss, George Moss, and Roger “Toddy” Moss; and sister Jackie Porter.
Preceded in death by his parents; and brother Charles Moss.
Mr. Moss was baptized at Cherry Grove Baptist Church. He loved Alabama football, and fixing cars and boats. He loved and was proud of his children and grandchildren. Mr. Moss retired after 30 years from Athens Utilities, where he enjoyed meeting people and making friendships.
