Funeral service for Danny O’Neal Rose, age 82, of Hillsboro, will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 19, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Compton and Rev. Scotty Letson officiating. Mr. Rose, who died Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at his residence, was born February 9, 1944, in Alabama to Albert O’Neal Rose and Bertha Davenport Rose. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, and mother of his children, Mary Alice Rose; his parents; and daughter-in-law, Celia S. Rose. Danny thoroughly enjoyed his time with family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a devoted employee to his long-time employers, Reynolds Metal and General Motors. Time well spent was farming, hunting, and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Harlow Rose; son, Terry O’Neal Rose; daughter, Shannon Rose Terry (Craig); three grandchildren, Allee Terry Kitchens (Nathan), Adam Craig Terry (Kylie), and Hayden O’Neal Rose; and two great-grandchildren, Krew Kitchens and Truett Terry.
Pallbearers will be Adam Terry, Hayden Rose, Nathan Kitchens, Carl “BU” Letson, Brandon Letson, Braxton Letson, and Bobby Keith Terry. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Dyar, Farrell Hutto, Ted Letson, Nathan Lee, and David Lee.
