Danny Michael Holdbrooks, age 69, of Haleyville, Alabama passed away August 22, 2018 at his residence. He was the owner of Southland Spa and Sauna and a member of Needmore Church of Christ. He loved deer hunting, turkey hunting, fishing, spending time with his sons and wife. He loved his springer spaniels,Julip and Jep, riding around and following them around the woods.
Visitation is Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, Al. Funeral service is Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Marvin Taylor and Vance Hutton will officiate. Burial to follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Sonya Knight Holdbrooks; children, Craig Holdbrooks, Toby Holdbrooks and Jody Holdbrooks; brothers, Clinton Holdbrooks and Jerry Holdbrooks; 4 step siblings; niece, Nicole Whitlock; nephews, Mark Holdbrooks and Keith Holdbrooks; Sonya’s mother, Louise Knight; Sonya’s sisters, Gina Bass, Susan Hill, Eleshia Smith and Kellon Ellison.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Holdbrooks and Vera Putman; step father, Charles Putman; father in law, O’neal Knight; brother in law, Kim Knight; nephew, Byron Holdbrooks.

Dear Sonya and Family — You have lost a wonderful husband and father. The people of Haleyville have lost a good friend.
I believe that your dedication to each other stands as a witness to love of family. Danny was certainly a nice person to everyone.
