A gathering to remember and celebrate the life of Danny Lovelady, age 63 of Ashland, will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Ashland Christian Life Center.
Mr. Lovelady passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018 at the UAB Medical Center. He was a native and life-long resident of Clay County and a graduate of Clay County High School. Mr. Lovelady had been a supervisor at Wellborn Cabinets where he had worked for over 34 years. He loved working, visiting with people, enjoyed camping and being outdoors. Mr. Lovelady was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ashland.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Darlene Lovelady; one daughter, Tiffany Sprayberry (Kenton) of Oxford; two sons: Nicholas Lovelady of Canton, TX and Clay Lovelady (Haley) of Lineville; 8 grandchildren: Braxton, Chloee, Chalee, Lidiah, Alyvia, Jayden, Lana and Ember; one sister, Kathy Miller (David) of Delta and one brother, Mack Lovelady (Judy) of Wetumpka.
Mr. Lovelady was preceded in death by his parents: John Vernon Lovelady and Betty Jean Knight Lovelady.
The family requests no flowers; however, memorial contributions may be made to the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center or the UAB Center for Palliative and Supportive Care.
