Danny Joy (Bush) McKee, 86, of Perry, Florida, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016 in Athens, Georgia at St. Mary’s Hospital. Mrs. McKee was the widow of Elston L. “Dude” McKee. She resided in Perry, FL for 62 years, where she retired from the Taylor County School System. She was an active member of Ash Street Church of Christ in Perry. Mrs. McKee was born in Huntington, Tennessee to the late Valous C. Bush and Elaine Laws Bush. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonita Elaine McKee. She is survived by a sister, Valeda Wilson of Lexington, TN and brother, Denton Bush (Murel) of Cedar Grove, TN. Her children, Debby and Randall Arnold of Watkinsville, GA, Jeff and Leigh McKee of Murfreesboro, TN and Pam and Rob Rosenbury of Thomasville, GA. She also leaves five grandchildren, Sarah Arnold (Bryan Hilley), Willis McKee (Bethany), Robert McKee, Laura Arnold, Mack Rosenbury and one great grandchild, Willa Faire McKee. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, July 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cedar Grove, TN. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Perry, FL.
