Danny Howard Sheffield, 64,died Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at his home. He was born May 6, 1951, to Marshall Henry and Jessie Reynolds Sheffield. He was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church. He worked in the furniture industry for 25 years and was in the restaurant business for 22 years. He was previously at Centerville Fish and Steak and was currently, with is wife, owner of Mantachie Pizza and Subs. He enjoyed competing in pony pulling contests and was an avid television watcher.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with the Rev. Ronnie Goodwin and the Rev. Tom Sheffield officiating. Burial will be in the Mantachie Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Gail Sheffield; one son, Jason Howard Sheffield; four brothers, Bobby Gene Sheffield, Gerald Sheffield (Charlene), David Ray Sheffield (Linda), all of Mantachie, and Billy Ralph Sheffield (Virginia) of Fairview; three sisters, Ruby Faye Massey, Frances Bearden (Gary), both of Mantachie and Janice Yvonne Webb (Lowell) of Tremont; two grandchildren, Samantha Cheyenne Sheffield and Rebekah Lee Sheffield.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sue Holder and Sarah Ann Farrar, and his parents.
Pallbearers will be Randy Massey, Joshua Bearden, and Kevin, Alan, Dave, and Bill Sheffield.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p. m. Friday, July 31, at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
