Danny G. Hunt Danny G. Hunt was born on March 23, 1945 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the son of the late Leonard Green Hunt and Vera Mae Stricklin Grey.

On September 10, 1967, he was united in marriage to Linda Colbert, who survives.

Danny loved hunting, fishing, and all sports – especially football. He excelled in football during his high school years and received scholarships to Ole Miss and University of Tennessee at Martin. He was also a very accomplished woodworker.

Danny honorably served his country in the United States Army National Guard. He retired after 43 years from Packaging Corporation of America in Counce, Tennessee. Danny served as a Deacon at Savannah Church of Christ in Savannah, Tennessee. He was among a group who started “Bass Masters Club” in Hardin County in the early ’70s. In 1976, he was one of a six member team to represent Tennessee in the National Bass Master Federation Tournament and they took 1st place in the tournament. He was also a member of the Hardin County Beer Board.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. His main focus in life was always to serve God and his family.

Danny G. Hunt departed this life on March 19, 2021 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 75 years, 11 months, and 24 days.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda Colbert Hunt of Savannah, Tennessee; sons, Chris Hunt and his wife Lisa of Nashville, Tennessee and Chad Hunt and his wife Annie of Savannah, Tennessee; daughter, Kelli Hunt Creasy of Savannah, Tennessee; brothers, Jerry Hunt of Savannah, Tennessee and Mark Grey and Mike Grey, both of Whiteville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jessica Ivy Hunt Plunk, Hillary Lauren Hunt, Jackson Hughes Hunt, Rivers Boling Hunt, Timothy Seth Dreaden, Clay Edward Dreaden, Laurie Suzanne Thomas, Martin McKinley Thomas, and Grayson Colbert Thomas; and great grandson, Winston Townes Plunk.
