Graveside service for Daniel Lane Winchester, age 61, of Decatur, will be Monday, September 7, 2020, 2:00 p.m. at Dancy’s Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Marvin Gillespie officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Winchester, who died Thursday, September 3, 2020, at Tri-Star Southern Hills Medical Center, Nashville, was born October 22, 1958, in Moulton, to Joe Gibson and Ludania South. He was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers, and one sister. Mr. Winchester was a gravel truck driver for Woodward Construction.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Colburn Winchester of Decatur; two brothers, Anthony Winchester of Birmingham, and Richard Winchester of Courtland; one sister, Margie Wimbs of Hatton; four stepchildren; and 8 step-grandchildren.
