Dana (Dan) Booth, 77, of Toney, Alabama, was born September 14, 1946, to the late Alton and Nancy Booth in Dingess, WV. He traded his earthly home for his eternal home on November 8, 2023, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV.

Dana carried many roles in his lifetime, but his greatest accomplishment was his work for the Lord. He was a Free Will Baptist pastor and church planter since 1972 in OH, WV, MO, KY, NY, and AL. His love for the Lord was evident, as he always said, “God has a plan.” His servant’s heart was apparent to all who knew him; he was compassionate and a comfort to those in need. He exemplified Romans 12:15 – he would rejoice with those who rejoiced and weep with those who wept.

On February 21, 1969, he married the love of his life, Betty, and for the next 54 years, she was a helpmate.

He was an encourager and a mentor to all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and one brother.

He is survived by his wife, Betty (Caperton) Booth; daughters, Christa (Frank) Eastman of Huntsville, AL; Melissa (Joe) Heeter of Pleasant View, TN; five grandchildren, five bonus grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; sisters, Jewell Belcher of Verdunville, WV, Gail Marcum of Dingess, WV; brothers, Rev. Curtis Booth of Lenore, WV, Rev. Arlon Booth of Lancaster, OH, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Crossroad Freewill Baptist Church on Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 12:00 noon until 1:00pm. Services will follow the visitation at 1:00pm with burial afterwards in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
