Dan M. “Hog Head” Hall – Obituary

Dan M. “Hog Head” Hall, 68, of Tuscumbia passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017. Visitation will be today, Jan. 10, 2017 from noon to 2 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service to follow. Private burial will be in Bear Creek Cemetery. Officiating will be Brother Tommy James. Dan was a member of Woodward Avenue Baptist Church and Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 760. He loved antique tractors, hunting, and his association with his “Boxcar Buddies.” His passion was his involvement with the Sons of Confederate Veterans, Shiloh Camp.

Preceded in death by father, William T. Hall; son, David Martin Hall and previous wife, Cherrie Fleming Hall.

Survivors are wife, Ida Nell Hall; mother, Kathleen Martin Hall; son, Chris Mays; stepsons, Chris Greene and Bruce Greene; daughters, Rebecca Hall Johnson (Darryl) and Kellie Mays James; stepdaughter, Karen Greene Parris (Rex); grandchildren, Dustin M. Hall and Scarlett Claire Johnson; stepgrandchildren, Hunter Greene, Olivia Greene, Will Parris, Allison Brooks, Emilio Greene, Sofia Greene, Andre Greene and “Brother” Sonny Allen.

Pallbearers will be Sonny Allen, Presley Williams, Harold Bomprezzi, Dennis Whitehead, Jerry Plaxco and Ronnie Campbell.

Special thanks to the nurses and doctors at Helen Keller Hospital and Huntsville Hospital for their excellent care of Dan, and to his family and friends for their love and compassion.
