Mr. Dan Harmon Walling, 84, passed away Sunday evening July 12, 2020 at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville.  He was born April 1, 1936 to the late Oscar and Ola Hitchcock Walling. Dan was a Van Buren County native who resided in the Piney Community, a retired machine operator at Powermatic, Textron Spencer and was a farmer.  He was an Air Force Veteran and a member of the Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother; William Walling, sisters; Alma Baker and Thelma Sullivan.

Dan is survived by his brother; James Walling of the Piney Community. Several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 15, 2020 at 11:00am in the Layne Chapel with Bro. William Shockley officiating. Burial will follow in the Seitz Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00am till time of service at 11:00am.
