Mr. Dan Edward Hollander, age 66 of Huntsville, died Tuesday at home. Mr. Hollander, as a young man, served in the North Central States Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A native of Vallejo, CA, he moved to Huntsville in 1981 and was the owner of Fireman Equipment Company of Huntsville for 15 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Marie Hollander, two daughters- Jennie Jordan and Christy Sanchez, three sons, Jeremy Hollander, Ryan Hollander, and Nathan Hollander, sister, SanDee Smith, two brothers, John Hollander III and Scott Hollander, five grandchildren, Taylor Christian Jordan, Kylie Brooke Jordan, Ashlyn Elizabeth Hollander, Maleah Jane Hollander, and John Patrick Hollander, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00PM Friday. A service will be held Saturday, February 01, 2014 at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, on Byrd Springs Rd, with Bishop Biggs officiating. Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Meridianville, AL.
