Mr. Dan Clayton Long, age 91, of Russellville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Mrs. Glenda Aycock Long; his daughter, Mrs. Dana Long Terry (Mr. Keith Terry); granddaughter, Mrs. Lauren Feuillard (Mr. Robert Feuillard); and his beloved great-granddaughter and namesake, Miss Lorrie Clayton Feuillard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Dewey Long and Mrs. L.E. Long, and by his siblings, Mrs. Josephine Scarbrough, Mrs. Betty Wyskida, and Mr. J.W. Long.

Mr. Long was a skilled welder by trade and the longtime owner of Fisherman’s Resort and Long’s Antique Mall, which he owned and operated for more than 30 years. A true outdoorsman, he found his greatest joy in hunting, fishing, and tending his beloved farm.

He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, unwavering devotion to family, and gentle spirit. His faithful canine companion, Suzie, will especially miss his presence.

In keeping with his wishes, Dan was cremated, and a private service for immediate family was held on his farm. The family respectfully requests that there be no unannounced visits. In lieu of gifts or flowers, memorial donations may be made to a local animal shelter of your choice in remembrance of Mr. Long’s deep affection for animals.
