Funeral service for Dalton Leon Vest, 65, will be Sunday, December 31, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tom Elder officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, December 31, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Vest died on Friday, December 29, 2017 at his residence. He was born November 4, 1952, in Morgan County to Rufus Greer Vest and Coree Elizabeth Long Vest. Mr. Vest was a graduate of Danville High School, Class of 1971. He was employed by 3 M Company as a Chemical Opeator and was on the Fire Brigade until his retirement. He was a lover of cars and working on them, had a pilot’s license and loved flying. Dalton was known as a person who was always willing to help anyone in need, especially his family, friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents.
