A Celebration of Life for Mr. Dallas Pointer, 76 of Moulton will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Reynolds Funeral Home with inhumation to follow in Lindsey Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from noon until funeral time at the funeral home.
Dallas was born July 27, 1940 in Lawrence County to the late Tennis and Amy McDaniel Pointer. He departed this life on Nov. 16, 2016 at Lawrence Medical Center in Moulton.
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Oakville M.B. Church. He was educated in the Lawrence County School System and attended Moulton High School. He was employed at Prestolite Corporation and later worked for Delphi where he retired with 30-plus years of service. Dallas enjoyed farming and fishing. He was a quiet, reserved man who loved his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tennis and Amy Pointer; and one brother, H.J. Pointer.
He leaves to cherish his memory his companion, Jessie Pearl Polk of Moulton; three children, Kenneth A. Brackins of Moulton, Sandra (Marcus) Abrams and Dallas D. (Christina) Pointer, both of Decatur; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
