Brother Dale Ray Jacks born March 5, 1943 received his ultimate healing May 1, 2025 at Cordova Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Services will be held at Collins Burke Funeral Home in Jasper, AL on Sunday, May 4, 2025 receiving family and friends at 2:00 pm with funeral service at 3:00 pm in the chapel. Officiated by Brother Donny Hyche and Grandson Blake Courington.
Bro. Dale served Walker County as a bi-vocational pastor at many churches from 1970 until 2017. He also served as a revival evangelist throughout Walker County and surrounding areas. He worked from 1962-2000 as a coal miner and accomplished his goal to send his wife and daughters to college.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Jessie Jacks, brother – Eldon Jacks, sister – Linda Jacks Chandler and her husband Donald Chandler, and sister-Martha Jacks
He is survived by his wife of 63 years – Patty Hyche Jacks, Sister-In-Law Peggy Jacks, Daughters Sandra Courington (Russell), Joyce Loos (Orin), Debra Jacks, Grandchildren Blake Courington (Kayse), Chelsie Pounders (Cory), Mary Hope McGehee (Ryan), Aleigha Lawson (Josh), Great Grandchildren, Abigail and Silas Courington, Esmen and Iah McGehee, Audie, Teddy and Lenny Pounders, and Zaya Lawson. And a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.
The family would like to extend a special recognition to Kim and Alex Sargent (Winston), and Darci, Ada and Harper Lively for the loving care they provided for him at home; to Misty Jackson and Gentiva Hospice for walking patiently with him and us through this difficult journey and to the amazing staff at Cordova Health and Rehabilitation for their tender, loving care during his last few months on this earth.
