Dakota Wayne Courtney, 23, died Monday, February 9, 2015 at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a long illness. He was born April 9, 1991 to Donald Wayne and Kathy Walton Courtney. He attended Itawamba Attendance Center and Itawamba Agriculture High School. He enjoyed video games, movies, trading cars, and drag racing. He was a great son and brother and will be greatly missed.
Services will be at 2:00 p. m. Wednesday Feb,. 11, 2015, at the McNeece – Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Ralph Oglesby officiating. Burial will be in the Bourland cemetery. Survivors include his parents, Donald and Kathy Walton Courtney; his grandmother, Nancy Walton of Fulton; five brothers, Shawn Roberts of Shannon, Kelly Courtney of Mooreville, Brad Davis of Tupelo , Chris Wages of Saltillo, and Colby Courtney of Mooreville.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents ,Howard Walton, and David and Lillie Courtney.
Pallbearers will be his brothers.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Wednesday at McNeece – Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
