D L Holder was born August 26, 1941 in Perry County, TN to the union of the late Dewey Lanny and Myrtle Carter Holder. Mr. D L had two sons of which he was very proud, Greg and Tony. He was a person who was able to work with his hands, loving to restore old cars. Mr. Holder departed this life on Thursday, July 30, 2026 in Nashville, TN making his stay in this life some 84 years, 11 months, and 4 days.
Survivors include his son, Tony Holder and wife Kelley of Hohenwald, TN; three grandchildren, Jarred Holder and wife Rene of McEwen, TN, Hunter Holder of Flatwoods, and Alex Gray of Columbia, TN; he is also survived by three great grandchildren, Lilly Holder, Kingston Holder, and Evelyn Holder.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Greg Holder and his companion of over 24 years, Mary Poole
To honor Mr. D L’s wishes, there will be no public services. He will be laid to rest at a later date, on the family farm in Flatwoods.
