Cynthia Smith Scott died at her home on City Park Road in New Hope on September 24, 2024.
Cynthia was born in Florence, AL on December 5, 1953. Her birth parents were Evelyn Dickinson and Sigmund Weathers. Later in life Cynthia was adopted by James R. Smith of Decatur.
Cynthia graduated Butler High School in May 1972, and graduated MTSU in May 1976 with a Bachelor of Science Degree.
Cynthia is survived by her husband, Jerry Scott; two step children, Jay Scott of Collierville, TN and Crysti Keefauver of Monrovia, AL; and four grandchildren.
Visitation took place during her hospice time at her home. Family and friends came to her home to visit and worship.
No other services are planned.
