Cynthia Kaye “CK” McQuiston Wheeler was born in Huntsville, AL on August 8, 1973 to Pat and Vicky McQuiston.  She was preceded in death by her unborn child in late 2005, and her grandparents, William E. and Lillie McQuiston and Cleo and Myrtis Alexander.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Wheeler of Fayetteville, TN; parents, Pat and Vicky McQuiston of New Market, AL; sisters, Victoria Hannaford of Toney, AL, Melissa Whitmore (Chad) of Decherd, TN, and Patricia Clardy (Aaron) of Meridianville, AL; sister-in-law, Shawn Bean (Scott) of Fayetteville, TN; nieces and nephews, Josh Gardner (Heather), Amber Walls (Josh), Austin Hannaford (Mackenzie), Katelyn Williams (Kalob), Baylea Gardner, and Sadie Clardy; and many other dearly loved great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Cynthia and Joe were married on October 18, 1997 in a small chapel in Gatlinburg surrounded by their immediate family, a couple of friends, and their new pet squirrel.  They joked that they took their family to elope.  Together they built a home filled with their many beloved pets.  You’d often find her working in the flower beds and keeping tabs on the bees and wildlife.  She was crafty and had many, many talents.

She loved her family and was always quick to take care of them, even beyond what they needed.  She was definitely a giver!

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6pm until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2pm at the funeral home with Reverend Charles Mayo officiating.   Burial will follow and will be in Stateline Cemetery.

Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
