Curtis O`Neal Hammond, age 86, of Lexington, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 2nd from noon until 2 p.m. at Northside Church of Christ of Lexington. He will lie-in-state at the church from noon until 2 p.m. Burial will be at Grassey Cemetery in Lexington.
He was a member of Northside Church of Christ and was a retired self employed farmer.
Preceding him in death were his children’s mother, Audrey Faye Hammond; daughter, Kimberly Faye Jones; sons, Timothy Wayne Hammond and Rex Allen Hammond.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Burch Hammond; son, Donnie Ray Hammond (Linda); daughter, Regina Dale Butler (Kirk); stepdaughters, Angie Burch Tucker (Wayne) and Tenna Burch Williams; sister, Laura Jean Thigpen; nine grandchildren; two stepgrandsons; several great-grandchildren and a special friend, Jenny McGee.
