In Loving Memory of Curtis Glen Lineberry
Curtis Glen Lineberry, age 89, Of Clifton, Tennessee, passed away at his home on August 18, 2026. He was born on November IO, 1936, in rural Wayne County, Tennessee.
Glen was a retired towboat engineer who dedicated 50 years of his life to working with TVT and Igert Towing Company. He was also a 60-year member Of Clifton Masonic Lodge NO. 173, where he was a respected and valued member of his community.
Glen enjoyed fishing, servicing boats and cars, and spending leisurely days on the Tennessee River. He loved traveling and, most of all, cherished the time he spent with his family. His love for the river, his work, and the people around him were an important part of the life he built and the memories he leaves behind.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Lona Inman Lineberry; his brother, Richard Lineberry; and his granddaughter, Lee Ann Lineberry.
Glen is survived by his son, Timothy Glen Lineberry (Denise); his grandchildren, Christopher (Moe) Lineberry (Chrystal), Brandi Lineberry Prater (Nick); his great-grandchildren, Lynze Templeton (Adam), Weston Lineberry, Noah Prater, and Lucas Prater; and his great-great-grandchildren, Jaxx Templeton and AveriKate Templeton all of Clifton, TN.
He is also survived by special family members Roy Cheaves, Gerald Cheaves, Dakota Brown, and Devin McLin.
Glen will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love Of the Tennessee River, his enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures, and especially the love he shared with his family. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be treasured by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation with the family will be on Friday, August 21, 2026 at the historical Presbyterian Church in Clifton from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM and again on Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Clifton Presbyterian Church with Clyde Carroll officiating. His brothers from the Clifton Masonic Lodge NO. 173 will officiate Masonic Rites. Interment will follow in the Howell-Lineberry Cemetery in the White Oak Community in Perry County.
