Crystal Gail Martin, age 47, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, previously of Santa Fe, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at 6:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Derek Hunter officiating. A visitation will also be held on Wednesday from 3:00 – 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Crystal was born on February 11, 1975, in Nashville, Tennessee and raised in Fairview. She was the daughter of the late Joe Edward Martin and the late Rosemary Davidson Martin. Before she became ill, she worked several years for Fisher Pharmacy and cleaning houses.
Crystal loved riding motorcycles and going to car races. She was an avid reader, her favorite author being Stephen King. She enjoyed music and going to concerts, and her all-time favorite bands were Kiss and Motley Crüe. Crystal enjoyed having a good time, going to the beach, and watching horror movies. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son, James Dean (Mary Lynne) Jackson of Santa Fe, daughter, Beonka (John) Stancil of Summertown, grandchildren, Cainan Young, Savana Anderson, boyfriend, David Edge, and several uncles and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandfather, Hubert Martin and grandmother, Jewel Martin.
Honorary pallbearers will include Ernie Martin, Larry Martin, Roy Martin, Richard Martin, Fuzzy Martin, and Jim Martin.
