Crystal Evon Nelson, age 47, wife of David Nelson, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, August 19th at 5:00 PM at Spring Hill United Methodist Church with Pastor Russell Yoder officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 4:00 PM until the 5:00 PM service hour. There will be another celebration of life service at Wesley United Methodist Church in Illinois at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Crystal was born in Mattoon, Illinois on March 8, 1975 and was the daughter of Dennis Eugene Robinson and Lois Louise Robinson. She was a very smart lady, being just short of receiving her Masters degree in school. She recently married David Nelson and was the happiest she had ever been. She enjoyed doing crafts and playing the piano. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Along with her husband and parents, she is survived by her stepchildren, Joe Nelson and Zack Nelson; sister, Sarah (Nathan) Bowton; niece, Emmersyn Bowton; and nephew, Kylan Bowton.
