Crystal Dale Arcond, a woman of deep compassion, vibrant spirit, and limitless generosity, passed away on July 18, 2026, at the age of 49. Born in Lexington, Tennessee, on February 24, 1977, she was the beloved daughter of the late Dale Anthony Hill and Deborah Jean Melton.
Crystal’s defining trait was her innate desire to take care of people, always putting the needs of others ahead of her own. Driven by this passion, she began her medical career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and went back to school to fulfill her dream of becoming a nurse. Her daughter fondly remembers being taken along to her mother’s nursing study groups as a young child, a testament to Crystal’s dedication to both her education and her family. Tragically, her dreams were altered when she was diagnosed with a highly aggressive form of Multiple Sclerosis. Though the debilitating disease quickly took a toll on her body and made daily life an immense struggle, Crystal fought fiercely to take care of her children and always wanted the absolute best for them.
Even as her health declined, Crystal’s vibrant personality never faded. She was an avid reader with a deep love for science fiction and horror novels—the scarier the better—and enjoyed passing the time playing games on her phone. More than anything, she loved hanging out with her family, sharing meals, and talking. Crystal was famously known for her love of conversation and her beautifully honest, no-filter personality. Her desire to help others extended far beyond her career goals; she regularly opened her doors, boarding and taking in people in need of a safe place to stay. Faith was also an important foundation of her youth, as her family attended the Assembly of God church in Saltillo, Tennessee, a place her sister says will always be considered their “home” church.
Crystal was preceded in death by her parents, Dale Anthony Hill and Deborah Jean Melton, and her brother, James Hill.
Her legacy of fierce love, resilience, and a giving heart lives on through her surviving family. She is survived by her daughter, Kelsey Carroll; her son, Tyler Warman; her sister, Stephanie Price; and her brother, Tommy Day. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Anna Koenig, Josie Carroll, and Aiden Young; her nieces, Tara Price and Kimberly Lambert; and her nephews, Ricky Price, Dylan Price, and John Price.
