Funeral service for Crispin Lynn Terry, of Moulton, will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Parkway Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.

Crispin Lynn Terry was born on September 13, 1943. She transferred to Heaven on April 30, 2024. Crispin reported being convicted of her need for salvation at age seven while listening to a children’s radio bible story program hosted by Joe Rumore. She made a public profession of faith at age eight and began teaching Sunday School at age twelve. Teaching Sunday School most of her life was her great joy.

Crispin graduated from Lawrence County High School; Calhoun College with an Associate Degree in Mental Health Technology; Athens State with a double major in Psychology and Behavioral Science; and Heritage Bible College with a Masters in Religion. She credited her husband, Jimmy Dee Terry, with supporting her in attaining her education. She and her husband were married for fifty-six years before his passing on November 27, 2017.

Crispin was a licensed Social Worker and retired from the State of Alabama after 25 years. She then worked in juvenile vocational counseling followed by two years as owner of a Christian bookstore.

Crispin was also preceded in death by her grandmother Pearl Hitt, her parents Louie and Wanda Terry, brother Stanley Terry and grandson Micah Couch. She is survived by her daughter, Tona Terry Couch, son Byron Terry, daughter-in-law Dawn Terry, grandsons Eli Couch and wife Haley, Brit Bowling and wife Sophie, and Colby Bowling, and one granddaughter, Isabel Willoughby. She was blessed with greatgrandchildren Trace Bowling, Gatlyn Bowling, and Oliver Couch. She is also survived by her sister Sybil Kimbrough and husband Harold as well as many nieces and nephews.

She had two expressed regrets: One, being absent from the body and present with the Lord, she is temporarily separated from those she loved so much which also includes sisters and brothers by marriage Onnis and Betty Terry, Renita and Glenn Latham and Rose and Johnny Key.
