Coy Cox Jr. age 87 of Guin, AL passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, AL.
Born October 25, 1931 in Montgomery, AL he is the son of the late Mayme Ross Hambrick and Coy Cox, Sr. and the husband of Edith Jean Clark Cox. He had lived in Guin most of his life, was a member of the Guin First Baptist Church and was a Veteran of the Korean War. He had retired from the 3M Company after 38 years, and loved golfing and fishing.
He is survived by his Wife, Edith Jean Cox of Guin, AL, 2 Sons, Ronald Keith (Martha) Cox of Pell City, AL and Robert Alan “Bob” Cox of Jasper, AL, a Granddaughter, Allison (Josh) Brewer of Columbiana, AL, 4 Sisters, Opal Harper of Hamilton, AL, Elise Wiginton of Tuscumbia, AL, Shirley “Bonnie” Rinks of Florence, AL and Joyce Wheeler of Hamilton, AL, and a Brother In Law, Jack (Betty Ann) Clark of Killen, AL.
Services Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 2:00 pm from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Guin City Cemetery. Bro Zane Miles and Dr. Kenny Hatcher officiating.
