Cornelia Anne Ewin Clark, age 87 of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away April 1, 2018. A seventh-generation Williamson Countian, she was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mildred Parkes Ewin and Ben D. Ewin, Jr.; husband, William Howard Clark, Sr. and son, Bill Clark, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Justice Connie Clark and Cathy (Loy) Hardcastle; daughter-in-law, Lulu Clark; five grandsons, Reid (Meredith Rickards) Clark, Jay Clark, Brad (Stacey) Perry, Matt (Jessica) Perry and Clay (Tatum) Perry; ten great grandchildren and Brad, Perry and Matt’s dad, J.R. Perry. Mrs. Clark was educated in the Franklin Public Schools and was a graduate of Franklin High School. She attended Ward Belmont College and studied dance in Chicago and New York. Early in her life she taught dancing in Franklin, and for many years worked for the Williamson County Chamber of Commerce, the Williamson County Economic Development office and at the Williamson County Administrative Complex. She was a lifelong member of Franklin First United Methodist Church, where she began the first youth choir, sang in the church choir, and taught Sunday school. She was a board member of the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County and a member of the Allied Arts Club. Known as “Maw” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she loved God, her family, and her community above all else. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted 12 Noon Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Historic Sanctuary of Franklin First United Methodist Church, 148 Fifth Avenue South, Rev. Dr. A. Lynn Hill and Rev. Regina Proctor officiating. Visitation will be 5-8PM Thursday, April 5 and Friday one hour prior to the service in the Historic Church Sanctuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Franklin First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 120 Aldersgate Way, Franklin, TN 37069.
