Memorial service for Constance Evans Whitehead, age 66, of Decatur, will be Friday, February 22, 2019, 1:00 p.m. at The Church at Stone River with Pastor Ted Amey officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service. Shelton Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Mrs. Whitehead, who died Monday, February 18, 2019, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born April 15, 1952, in Decatur. She was retired from Decatur ENT Associates. Mrs. Whitehead was preceded in death by her parents, Bill Evans and Marjorie Mills Evans Martin; twin brother, Donnie Evans; and brother, Tony Evans.
She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Coggin Whitehead; son, Donnie Eugene Whitehead; daughter, April Whitehead Brown (Omar); four grandchildren, Bailey and Hilton Harwell of Decatur, and Mason and Raegan Whitehead of Hartselle.
She was known as “Nonnie” to several special people in her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, The Church at Stone River, or your favorite charity.
