Connie Gossett, 66 of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, June 23rd, 2021, at Huntsville Hospital. Mrs. Gossett was born on September 23rd, 1954, to Emmett and Dean Meadows.
Mrs. Gossett is survived by her husband of 47 years, Sam Gossett; children Cherry Collins (Brad) of Athens, Susie Strickland (Jason) of Athens, and Wes Gossett (Rachel) of East Hanover, NJ; grandchildren Arden, Whitby, and Asher Collins, Camden Strickland, and Noah Countermine, Elaine, Lillian, and Lucille Gossett; sisters Patricia Croley (David) of Athens, Vicki Cook (Henry) of Athens, and Donna Chittam (Terry) of Athens; brother-in-law Tim Gossett (Kathy) of Athens; and sister-in-law Vickie Dunnavant of Pulaski, TN.
Preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law Belinda Gossett; and in-laws Roland and Florence Gossett.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, June 26th, 2021 at 2:00pm at Athens Bible School Rollins-Lovell Auditorium with E.R. Hall, Jr. and Stephen Russell officiating. The family is requesting for visitors to share their memories of Connie in written form to be given to the family prior to the service.
