The funeral service for Connie Faye Smith, age 86, of Fayetteville, TN, will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Higgins Funeral Home, with Bro. Chad Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Medium Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Tuesday at Higgins Funeral Home.
Born on August 13, 1938, in Lincoln County, TN, Connie was the daughter of the late Marlon Conway Rhodes and Sally Mae Brewer Rhodes. A 1956 graduate of Boonshill School, she furthered her education at Andrew Jackson Business College in Nashville, TN. Connie built a successful career as an executive secretary at Union National Bank in Fayetteville before dedicating herself to homemaking and caring for her family.
A devoted Christian and a longtime member of the Delina Church of Christ, Connie was deeply involved in her community. She served in leadership roles with Lincoln County 4-H, the Lincoln County Home Demonstration Club, and Woodmen of the World. An avid seamstress, she found joy in sewing, but above all, she cherished caring for her family.
Connie passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Goodrich Smith; son, Mark Jeffery Smith; daughter, Lorri Alice Brazell; grandson, Dylen Thomas Smith; granddaughter, Marley Faith Smith; and sister, Alice Rhodes.
