It is with deep sorrow and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Colise J. Walker, who entered eternal rest on June 19, 2026, at the age of 90.
Born in Society Hill, South Carolina, she was the daughter of Charlie Perry Johnson and Martha Jane Lunsford Johnson. She was the cherished granddaughter of P.L. Johnson and Fannie Sweat Johnson, and James Lunsford and Annie Freeman, all of Society Hill, South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, William T. Walker; her beloved son, Delyn T. Walker; her brothers, Edward “Ed” Johnson and Charlie “Peter” Johnson; her sister-in-law, Judy Johnson Thomas; her nephew, Buddy Johnson; and her niece, Jane Johnson Spell.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughter, Denise L. Walker; her grandchildren, Dakota T. Taylor and Amber Taylor; and her nieces, Susie Johnson Hayes (Mervin Watkins) of Darlington, South Carolina, Lisa Johnson Brown (Mike) of Arkansas, and Annette Johnson McLamb (James) of West Virginia.
Colise will be remembered for her love of family, her strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She touched many lives through her caring spirit and generous heart. Her memory will remain forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
The family extends their sincere gratitude for the prayers, support, and expressions of sympathy received during this difficult time.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her love, guidance, and cherished memories will continue to live on through all who knew and loved her.
A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
