A graveside service for Colin Marvin Owens, age 54, will be held on Tuesday February 10th, at 1:00 PM at Red Hill Cemetery in Moulton, with Brother Steve Ledbetter officiating. Peck Funeral Home is directing.
Colin entered Heaven from his home in the Speake community on Saturday, February 7, 2026. He was born on June 1, 1971, in Moulton, Alabama, to Alfred and Faye Owens.
Colin graduated from Speake High School in 1989 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Athens State College in 2000, where he received the distinguished Steven L. Woodruff Award for academic excellence. In 2023, he completed his Master of Business Administration from the University of North Alabama. Colin dedicated 31½ years of service to AT&T, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment.
In 1998, Colin married the love of his life, Michelle, and together they celebrated 27 years of marriage. He lived in the Speake community his entire life, where he raised his sons and enjoyed cattle farming. Colin cherished country living, sunsets, and spending time around a good fire.
Colin loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar. He was a devoted sports fan and a passionate supporter of the Alabama Crimson Tide—Roll Tide! His happy place was Smith Lake, where countless memories were made with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Owens; sons, Carson and Conner Owens; parents, Faye Owens and Alfred Owens; brother, Myles (Sybil) Owens; brother-in-law, Michael (Lori) Eastman; mother-in-law, Sylvia Eastman; nephews and nieces, Austin and Sarah Owens, Wheeler (Caroline) Eastman, Anna Katherine, Emma, and Bryant Eastman; his beloved furry companion of 17 years, Fob; and his granddog, Bailey.
Pallbearers will be Myles Owens, Carson Owens, Conner Owens, Jamey McCay, Trai Tidwell, and Troy Wilkerson. Honorary pallbearer is Anna Katherine Eastman.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Billy Eastman.
By Colin’s request, special music will be performed during the service by Dan Harrell, a longtime friend of the family.
