COLBERT COUNTY-The Colbert County Sheriff’s Office reports a Colbert Heights Middle School teacher and head baseball coach was arrested on Monday, September 28. Investigators received information from a parent that the teacher had contact with a female student.
Eli Fuller, 40 was picked up by authorities at the school on Monday at around 9AM. Fuller was a teacher at the school and had been the head baseball coach since 2021. Fuller was previously coached at the Colbert County High School in Leighton.

Colbert County Schools said it became aware of the investigation after 9 a.m. Monday and that the school cooperated with investigators. According to the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office, Fuller has been charged with electronic solicitation of a child. This follows an investigation of the phone called received by the sheriff’s office concerning the welfare of the female student.
The school system said it will continue to cooperate with the sheriff’s department.
Eli Fuller is being held in the Colbert County Jail with a $105000 bond.
According to Sheriff Balentine the investigation continues and additional charges could be filed.
