colbert countyCOLBERT COUNTY-Colbert County Sheriff’s Office wants to let everyone know about services available to our communities.
“PROJECT LIFESAVER” … a safe & secure way for families to locate their loved ones that may suffer from periodic episodes of wandering away from home.
Colbert County Sheriff’s Office is your connection to making sure that if your alzheimer’s patient, autistic child, or mentally handicapped family member, who may suffer from periods of wandering away from home, will not be lost or in danger.
The Project Lifesaver program uses radio transmitter arm bands, like a bracelet, which will assist your local emergency agency to locate those who may become lost due to their wandering away from home.LifesaverAngelsRevisedLogo-1024x656
This service protects the elderly alzheimer’s patient and the youngest of our communities who are afflicted with autism, down syndrome and many other developmental disorders. The average rescue time once the transmitter is activated in an emergency is 30 minutes, compared to hours that can go by if no service like this is used.
This time could be the difference needed to save lives & reduce injuries to your beloved family members. Project Lifesaver also gives you peace of mind that should an emergency occur you will have the best available services available to assist in locating your loved one.
ProjectLifesaverThere is an annual fee of $75 which covers cost of the bracelet bands and replacement batteries.
You can contact Colbert County Sheriff’s Office and leave a message with your phone number and we will have our trained deputy who specializes in this life saving project contact you for an appointment.
