Colbert County Memorial Day Program Set for May 26

TUSCUMBIA-American Legion Post 31 of Tuscumbia is sponsoring the Annual Memorial Day
Program on the front lawn of the Colbert County Courthouse, 201 N. Main St.,
Tuscumbia, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 26, 2025. The public is invited and
encouraged to attend.

The Post 31 Honor Guard will present the colors and place the memorial wreath in
honor of those who gave the supreme sacrifice for our country. Keynote Speaker will be
Ronald David Reagan, LTC Retired, US Army.

The speaker has a background with more than 41 years of military service retiring from
active duty as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2001. During his military career he served two
tours in Germany, one combat tour in the Middle East, one tour at Fort Campbell, KY,
one tour at Fort McClellan, AL, one tour at Presidio of San Francisco, and one tour as
Associate Professor at the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. His
awards include the following: Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal
(4), Army Commendation (2), Army Achievement Medal (2), Army Ranger Tab, Airborne
Badge, German Army Airborne Insignia, and the Air Assault Badge. David served as a
military police officer with dual qualification as an infantry officer. He is a resident of St.
Joseph, TN, and a member of American Legion Post 94. Dresden, TN.

Following the program, the public and all Veterans are invited to a barbecue Luncheon,
compliments of Mr. L.O. Bishop, at the Church of Christ Annex ( across the street at the
corner of Main and 4 th Streets).

In case of inclement weather, both the program and luncheon will be held at the Church
of Christ Annex.
