Cody Robert White, age 17, was one of those people that you could meet once and never forget. He had a spirit and light inside of him that was like no other. His smile, laughter, and jokes will be carried with his loved ones throughout the rest of their lives. As we mourn the life of this special young man, let us not forget the impact he had on so many lives. Cody gave his life to Christ last year, and the effect it had on him and those around him was immense. There was an obvious change in Cody from the inside out. He had Jesus living inside of him.
We will honor his life at Deshler High School on Sunday, July 31, at 3 p.m. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and the celebration service will follow after.
He leaves behind his parents, Robin Posey and Kevin Childres, of Tuscumbia, Alabama, and Tim and Cheryl White, of Slydell, Louisiana; grandparents, Robert Midgett and James and Vivian White; siblings, Taylor Posey, Kayla Lincoln, and Brandy Cook; special aunt, Nana Stowe; aunts, Kim May and Tonia Pewterbaugh; devoted uncle, Doug Posey; special cousin, Chris May; and best friends, Noah, Gaven, and Garrett. Alongside these were many other loving and special cousins and friends. And his dear cat, Katie.
