Funeral service for Cody Lane Terry, age 36, of Trinity, will be 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marcus Lipscomb and Bro. Marshall Turner officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. prior to service. Interment will be in Clardy Cemetery.
Mr. Terry, who died Saturday, February 3, 2024, in Morgan County, was born November 16, 1987, in Alabama to Jace Terry and Sherry Kelsoe Terry. He was preceded in death by his mother; brother, Jason Lance Terry; and grandparents, J. C. & Frances Terry and Buddy & Doris Kelsoe. Cody was the “caboose” of both families. He dearly loved his children, and being an uncle/hero to his nephews. Cody enjoyed rabbit hunting, dirt track racing, and Auburn football. He was employed as an electrician assistant.
He is survived by two sons, Brayden Gaige Woodard and John Wheeler Terry; one daughter, Brynlee Jayce Terry; his father, Jace Terry; sister, Kelsey Terry Wilhite (Sam); grandchild, Oaklynn Mae Woodard; nephews, Hunter Wilhite and Landon Wilhite; great-nephew, Walton Wilhite; and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Wilhite, Lucas Terry, Josh Harmon, Jesse Kitchens, Brodie Kitchens, and Chad Kelsoe; Honorary pallbearers will be Mickey Terry, Wyatt Hill, Dustin Shelton, Landon Wilhite, Taylor Cross, and Dustin Kelsoe.
