Codey Allan Davis Codey Allan Davis, age 33, a resident of Culleoka, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022.

 

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Poole officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

Codey, known to many as “Code Man,” was born on June 2, 1989, in Nashville, Illinois and was the son of William Gene Davis and Delana Tripp Davis. He was a 2008 graduate of Culleoka High School. He enjoyed warm days outside, fishing, and watching his friends on the Culleoka Summer Softball League.  Codey was always on the go and loved traveling and taking road trips. He especially loved spending time with his friends on Randlin Drive, Trenton, Mackenzie, Brittany, and Cody. He like muscle cars, and you could often find him riding his niece, nephew, and many others around on his wheelchair. Above all, he loved his family and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Corey (Cindy) Davis of Lynnville, grandparents, Gene Davis of Illinois and William & Sally Tripp of Culleoka, niece, Nevaeh Davis, nephew, Liam Davis, aunts and uncles, Charles “Chuck” Tripp, Mark (Lisa) Tripp, Lisa (Wayne) Murray, Chad (Kelly) Tripp, Lisa (Rodney) Smith, Johnny (Tina) Davis, Marla (Daniel) Sullivan, Robin (Jeremy) Morgan, and Carla Jennings, great aunt, Marilyn May, great uncle, Wayne (Mary) Calhoun, cousin, Ronnie (Amber) Davis, and many cousins, friends, and neighbors.

 

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Twila Davis, and uncles, Leon May and Ronnie Gene Davis.

 

Pallbearers will be Wayne Strothers, Bobby Fitzgerald, David Kimbrough, Ronnie Davis, Joshua Tripp, and Corey Davis.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Codey’s memory to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 161 N. Clark, Suite 3550, Chicago, IL 60601, the Culleoka Summer Softball League, P.O. Box 51, Culleoka, TN 38451, or the Villalobos Rescue Center, P.O. Box 39, Napoleonville, LA 70390.
